This one will go down in the books as the best Christmas present EVER!! We got a BCS 749 tractor with a rotary plow and precision depth roller (interpretation: much easier than shoveling and digging all that dirt!).
Nestled in the wild grasslands just outside of Boulder we have found a flower grower’s dream. We have been searching for a couple years for the perfect farm, and while we needed some time and elbow grease to get things up and running, we feel so lucky to have found a fantastic location, fertile soil and an opportunity to pursue our passion.
Blossom Flower Farm has come about as a collaborative effort between several close friends and farmers. Friends have connected with friends and farmers with farmers to join efforts to make this new, wild adventure possible. We managed to plant over 4,000 bulbs this fall!
Bees will be buzzing, greenhouses growing, and flowers budding soon on this gorgeous piece of land. A local baker has also joined the farm and will grow wheat to make mouth-watering bread, pastries and pizzas.
Met the alpaca next door and fed the goats carrots to make friends. Plowed and amended the field (with a little help from some friends). Recirculating water heater emptied repaired and filled. Tables fixed. Floors swept. Ready for seedlings.
