It all started for Raquel as a small child. She followed her grandfather around his enormous, delicious vegetable and flower gardens for countless hours asking him how she could help, begging to get dirty and learn. Curiosity stayed with her and as a teen she grew a lot of her families food during the summer months in their high mountain garden up Flagstaff mountain. Inspired by her lovely mom Bobbi (a floral designer), she helped her with floral design for numerous weddings and events, even her own! The ranunculus and lisianthus were INCREDIBLE!!! Despite pursuing a science, medical and public health career over the past couple decades, Raquel has longed to get back to her roots and live a life that feels and speaks to what matters to her and her family most: community, connection to the earth, and beauty and joy through stories, smiles, friends and flowers. As a mother of 3, she hopes to teach her children the importance of these things…and has dreamed of sharing this vision with more friends by growing flowers on a farm-sized scale. Every season is a new opportunity to learn, share and grow.
